The backstory is simple. A brief favor to share WiFi for a few days quietly stretched into years, morphing from neighborly help into an unofficial service plan funded by someone else. The tenant never noticed because the speed was high and the bill date landed mid-month, which is how small courtesies become long-term subsidies without anyone scheduling a conversation. What starts as kind turns into infrastructure by inertia.
